Search for phrases not working in V5 Coolmax theme ?

It seems that the search in V5 Coolmax does not search for phrases?
This is the surprising result of my tests with our project and projects of others here in the forum.

Our project:
https://docs.seppmail.com/en/index.html
Search for:
"Register This Device"
-> various results, does not search for the phrase only

Project with normal HuM Theme:
https://portal.7thsense.one/user-guides ... irack.html
Searches for:
"DeltaGUI is inherently multi-rack"
"View Server List"
-> phrases search works, shows hits, also shows the following text:
Use "quotes" for exact match.

Counter-test: other project based on V5 Coolmax theme:
https://manual.dotykacka.cz/pripojenict ... hkodu.html
"pokladně Dotykačka"
-> again, various results, does not search for the phrase only

What is causing this difference? Hoping for a solution.

Hi Birgit,

You most likely just have phrasal searching turned off (it's not on by default). Edit the skin in Toolbox and select Edit > Search Settings > View/Edit Search Settings. Then set "Enable Phrasal Search" from 0 to 1 and republish.

It's already on in our projects, that's why it popped up that it's no longer working.

I'll testrun it with the our old theme for comparison and get back to you.

Note that you must also be using either the PHP or ASP search platform. Phrasal search can't work with the JavaScript platform.

So I test-ran with the old theme and indeed, the phrases search does not work any longer (it once did).

It's not visible from your screenshot, but my guess is that you are editing the setting in your project (where it will be ignored) and not in the skin.

Also, when you do edit a Premium Pack skin, please do it in Toolbox and not in Help+Manual.

where the checked options are "PHP" and "Enable exact phrases search".

I didn't realize that these settings are not enough for the V5 Coolmax.

Having a look at the Toolbox now and am unable to find the correct setting, can you please answer in more detail where I could find it?

where the checked options are "PHP" and "Enable exact phrases search".

The main point I was making was that it wasn't clear whether you were editing your project or the skin. If you were editing the project nothing you configure there will have any effect on your output with any skin.

I didn't realize that these settings are not enough for the V5 Coolmax.

You *can* edit those things there in Help+Manual, We just generally recommend not editing Premium Pack skins with HM because it's much easier to enter incorrect configuration variable settings there. In Toolbox you have all the configuration variables organized in groups, help for every variable and plausibility checks to prevent invalid entries on most variables as well.

Select Edit > Search Settings > View/Edit. Then set Enable Phrasal Search to 1 and Search Platform to PHP.

I just tested this with the current version of Cool Max (5.2) and phrasal search is working fine with PHP.
