interframe communication - chrome

Unread post by Peter Muckle »

Hi,

I have a couple of online webhelp files, which have been working fine over the last year, although I have only used them occasionally.

After a gap of several months I went to open one and get an error message:

security error
interframe communication between null and https://&etc
is not currently permitted

How can I fix this please

This is generally an indication that you are using an obsolete Premium Pack skin and you have added a component to your skin that is also using the PostMessage protocol to communicate between an iFrame that it has created and one of the pages in the WebHelp managed by the skin. This has been corrected in both the current version of Premium Pack 4 and Premium Pack 5 generally. You just need to download the current version with the link you received when you purchased and then use the new copy of the skin installed.

Hmm. Has anything changed recently? There must be something triggering it. It could theoretically also be a new extension in your browser.
