Bullet Style

Is is possible to create a style called... "Bullet" that if I highlight a line, it will add a bullet and use style settings from font/paragraph for font and indent and so forth?

Or are Styles and Bullets "isolated"?

Exactly that, unfortunately. The editor component still handles numbered and bulleted lists separately from the style system, so bullet and numbering selections are part of the list definition and separate from the style.
