SnipSVG Weirdness

Unread post by tom_tech0278 »

Hi Support,

Not sure about the new SnipSVG, sorry.

We saved our old IPP images as snipx files, however have just noticed that some that look fine in H&M, when published to the web have duplication/overlay glitches issues

Help and manual and web images attached

SnipSVG v2.0.0 b493 (64bit) - these are inserted images but its almost as if when published in H&M, it couldn't find the assets so just duplicated the background image. Though in SnipSVG and H&M both are fine

An observation, these two new assets are SVG files since we can no longer insert our old IPP files, and don't offer to change/edit the element like the other items do. So I'm thinking it could be the SVG elements that are the problem

Hi Tom,

Please send the affected images to support AT ec-software.com (replace the AT with @) and we'll check them out. It's possible that higher numbers of numbering tags may still have a couple of glitches, but they're quite rare.

Update after checking the original: The two affected elements were incompatible bitmaps added from somewhere else after converting the original IPP to SVG in SnipSVG. This was easy to fix by copying the two affected bitmaps to a current graphics program (I used Affinity Photo 2) and back again. So this wasn't really an SnipSVG issue, at least not directly. 8)
