I just noticed that since around September 2025, the font size for Times New Roman 11 in my exported PDF files has been increased to 11.2.
I haven't changed anything in the Help & Manual settings or in the PDF templates.
So it seems that something has changed in the Windows 11 settings.
Has anyone else had a similar experience and what could be done to fix it?

Re: PDFs font size has increased
You posted in the Help+Manual 7 forum section. Are you really using version 7?
I just tested this with Help+Manual 7 by exporting to PDF and then copying a paragraph of body text to Word with the option "keep source formatting". The font size is exactly 11 points so it seems to be working correctly.
How are you getting the value of 11.2 points, since PDF does not generally show the size of the text in units?

Re: PDFs font size has increased
Yes, we are really still using version 7 in our company.
It runs smoothly and meets all our requirements perfectly.
We have a PDF editor that can show the font size.
For the PDF export two font types are used in the Help and Manual project: Times New Roman and Franklin Gothic CD.
Franklin Gothic was not increased in size, but Times New Roman was increased from 11 pt to 11.2 pt in PDF export files recently.
I am also sure that it is not due to the settings in “Help and Manual”, but that some other configuration or settings file must have changed, and we do not know where to look for it.

Re: PDFs font size has increased
This is a little strange and we'd like to test it. Please send a small (really, just a couple of topics please) demo project, your .mnl PDF template and your version of the PDF to support AT ec-software.com (replace the AT with @) and we'll have a look at it.

Re: PDFs font size has increased
Thank you very much for your concern. I have sent the files to the email address.
Re: PDFs font size has increased
The problem was solved by following Mr. Tim Green's advice to check the default printer, whose driver is used for PDF export. (In Help and Manual: User Settings > PDF Export tab > Default printer for reference.) I have used this option "Default printer as reference" until now without any problems.
But at least since Windows 11 there were changes belonging to some Windows settings:
Settings > Bluetooth and decvices > Printers & scanners >> "Let Windows manage my default printer". When this option is enabled, it can influence certain apps that the last printer used by these apps will be considered as default printer.
I now changed Help and Manual's PDF export printer option from "Default printer as reference" to "Other printer as reference" to fix a reliable printer as default and to avoid Windows default printer settings.
