Webhelp skin - header navigation

Unread post by igallagher »

Hi Tim

Is it possible to create a menu similar to the attached example (SampleMenu.png), using the Webhelp skins? I currently have a background image the same as the example, but have only been able to add menu items below the background (see CurrentMenu.png).

Thanks in advance.

Irina

Hi Irina,

Drop-down-menus like this are already integrated in the standard skins included with Help & Manual. You just need to add your own entries for them in the code, which includes dummy entries. Start with one of the standard skins with the word "integrated" in its name. Make a copy of the skin in your project folder, open it in Help & Manual and navigate to the layout template in Configuration > Publishing Options > WebHelp > Layout. You will find the drop-down menu code in the source code there. If you want to use it in your own skin you would need to transfer the code to your design.
