Animating an object a second time

Unread post by Gerold Krommer »

This must be be...

How to I animate an object and later in the sequence animate it again (with a possible difference animation), e.g.

I have a rectangle appear, then I display some text, then fade out that rectangle.

Thanks,

Gerold

Hi Gerold,

Currently you can't apply multiple animations to elements directly. That will be coming in the next major update, when we add a proper timeline to HelpXplain. However, you can still achieveit now with a trick: Groups can have their own animations applied to the entire group. So what you do is apply one animation to the element itself, then you group the element with a second element that you set to invisible (any shape, for example) and apply your second animation to the group.

Alternatively you can also use a copy of the original element stacked on top of it, of course. 8)
