PDF Bookmarks - change fonts for some topics

Unread post by Aitch »

Hi all

I wonder if there's a possibility for the bookmarks to show two different ways?

I have a document, which changes once a year, but all changes are reviewed and approved by the board. With my PDF being interactive, I was hoping to be able to show on the bookmarks of the online PDF which topics have changes (just make those italic?). I'm happy to do this manually, as even though there are many changes, it's easy enough to manually edit the topic.

Hopefully that makes sense - Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks
H

This isn't possible, unfortunately, because the bookmarks are generated by the PDF reader program, not by Help+Manual. The PDF itself simply provides the bookmark text, and cannot provide formatting information.

Thanks Tim

I thought as much. I've managed to find a workaround, which is editing the PDF itself on Acobe DC, which works fine and is just a few clicks.. I just need to remember to change it should I want to go ahead with this option :D
