Hi, my colleague has taken my files and is working on them in version 9, when I get I get them back will they still open in version 7?
Any compatibility issues I should aware of?

You will be fine provided your colleague doesn't add any features that are not supported in version 7. If he/she does, then they will simply be deleted silently when you save in version 7, because they don't exist in the version 7 XML schema. However, you should NEVER try to edit the same project at the same time with different versions of Help+Manual. That can cause serious errors. Really, you should both be on the same version.
