eViewer 5.6 with embedded WebView2 Loader

We're happy to announce the release eViewer 5.6 for eWriter and ZipHelp files. This now embeds the Microsoft WebView2 loader that ensures that Edge/Chrome/WebView2 HTML rendering engine is used for eWriter and ZipHelp files. This is much faster and more capable than the old Windows WebView1 engine, which is based on Internet Explorer/Trident and is still often the default in Windows.

It is thus no longer necessary to include the WebView2Loader.dll file with eViewer.exe or EXE eWriter files to get the benefits of WebView2.

The new version of the eViewer is included in Help+Manual 10.1, also released today. All the download versions of the eViewer, including the developer package, have also been updated and are available here:
