H&M is dropping bullets from bulleted lists in PDFs

This appears to be a problem throughout the PDF.

Hi Leonard,

There's no information there that can help to find the problem as it's not a known issue and we can't reproduce it. First make sure that you're using the latest build (1025) and make sure that CID Font Mode is set to "Unicode" in your PDF font embedding options.

This may also be a PDF driver issue. H&M uses a printer driver to generate PDFs. You can access the reference printer driver settings in View > Program Options > PDF. By default H&M will use the screen device driver, which is generally the best choice unless you are using EMF or WMF graphics. However, you can also use a real printer driver, but "optimized" drivers from printer manufacturers can often cause problems, in particular this kind of kerning problem. If you are already using a driver you can try switching to the screen devices to see if that improves the situation.

If you use a printer driver because you use EMF or WMF graphics in your project it is best to use a standard certified driver for a common printer from the Windows CD -- for example a normal LaserJet or DeskJet, the standard Windows Brother HL-2040 and HL-2060 drivers are also very good. You don't have to actually have the printer. Add the driver with Add Printer in the printer section of the Windows Control Panel and then select it as your reference driver in Help & Manual.

Important: The default page size set for the printer in the Windows control panel must be at least as large as the page size you have set in your print manual template. If it is smaller you will get clipping in your PDF pages.

If none of this helps please send us a demo project illustrating the problem and the .MNL file you are using to generate your PDF. The .MNL file is essential for troubleshooting PDF problems. Pack everything in a zip and mail it to support AT ec-software.com (replace the AT with @).

Setting CID Font Mode to Unicode seems to have solved it. Thanks!
