Snipx 1.3 and beyond

Unread post by Simon_Dismore »

Thanks for fixing the transparent PNG background problem in Outlook - very helpful.

The pre-sized frames are nice. Would it be possible to define custom sizes?

A couple of features from SnagIt that I find useful in case you are interested in further developing SnipSVG
  • In SnagIt I have a shortcut set up that starts a capture, applies an effect (e.g. torn right and bottom edges) and puts the result on the clipboard as a single action. It's very efficient for putting instructions into an email, without needing to switch to their editor. So far their torn edges are nicer than yours, too.
  • It is also useful that each capture image is saved automatically by SnagIt and is available from the carousel at the bottom of their editor, in case I need to go back and get/edit it later. It would be good to have an option to save Snipx files automatically likewise.
But I am quite happy using both tools and indeed paying for "SnipSVG Pro" if that's a future direction.

Best wishes
