Transfer settings from one skin to another

Hi everyone,

I made some changes to a PP skin. Now I think about using another skin. Which settings can I transfer? I know about the pplang file including zoom search strings.
Is there any other thing I can save? My own baggage files? Some variables?

You can transfer settings to a different variant skin of the same group using the Copy Config tool in the File menu of Toolbox. Otherwise you need to apply the settings manually.

Skins of the same group? So can I see the groups according to the folders where the skins are saved?

And what about the language files (pplang)? I just saw there are separate language files per language and skin. Can I import a language file into a skin of another group? I expect some strings go missing this way, but is it possible without negative consequences or destroying everything?

Yes. But you don't need to worry about this. Toolbox will not allow you to transfer to skins where it's not supported.

Toolbox will only allow you to import a language file to a skin of the correct type.
