Image inserted with Drag&Drop is inserted but not displayed

Unread post by Stein Groth »

Images inserted with Drag&Drop are inserted but not displayed.
It is shown when revisiting topic.
Restarting H&M fixes this behaviour until situation occures again.

Using Ctrl+P is displaying inserted image even when Drag&Drop insertions don't display inserted image.

How exactly are you doing this? With D&D one of two things should happen:
  • If the source of the image is not in the current search path you will be asked whether you want to add the new folder to the search path or copy it to the first folder on the search path. After this it is displays.
  • If the source folder is already on the search path the image should be displayed immediately.
Note on adding folders to the search path: Ideally, you should ALWAYS copy the image to your existing search path folder. Adding new folders to the search path can quickly create a huge search path zoo that makes it harder to avoid duplicate image filenames in different folders and harder to move your project around. If your image folder is inside your project folder and all your images go there you avoid these problems.

Also note that the very latest build of Help+Manual 10 displays images immediately, also when they are edited externally. Perhaps you just need to update.
