Simple sentence to appear immediately after the last topic

Unread post by steveaust »

Dear H&M users,
I need to conclude all my different PDF documents always a single line of text e.g. a short sentence with copyright details.

I want it to just follow the last topic, cannot be on a new page & I also do NOT want it on every page in a header/footer.
This is tricky, I know I can put on the 'EndNotes' page of even a blank page after the 'Topics' page (in Template designer/editor), but then this will be on a whole new page at the end. This is NOT what I want.

I also can't put it in a new topic because it will get a heading, and I don't want a heading for it.
Ideally, I want it in a variable or template that simply appears ONCE at the end of the last (final) topic.

Thanks, Steve

You can't do this via the PDF template because everything you enter here would either be on every page, or in an additional page, and you don't want that. If you really want it directly after the last topic in your project, and on the same page if it fits, then you need to insert it at the end of the last topic in your project.

Use the conditional text tags feature to include it in PDF only, if you need to, i.e. [IF_PDF>Copyright stuff here<END].

However, it would really be easier to use the Pages menu to insert a user-defined page directly after the Topics section in your template and put the copyright info there. Then you can also put it in the TOC so that readers can jump to it directly if they want. That's much simpler and gets inserted in every project you publish with that template.
